The Nose Surgery Procedure

We perform the surgery in our attending physician clinic for ear, nose and throat surgery and plastic surgery, at Clinic Dr. Gärtner in Bogenhausen. Our experienced anesthesia team performs administration of anesthesia. Thanks to the technique of Coblation Conchotomie (Coblation), it is usually possible to avoid post-op nasal packing. This added benefit improves post-operative breathing capability through the nose and avoids discomfort caused during removal of nasal packs. Depending on the findings, we perform the surgery either over a closed access, or over an open access. The latter takes place via a small incision on the columella, which after a very short time is largely invisible.

The Clinic Stay

The general rule is an inpatient stay in the clinic for about 4 days. This stay can be shortened depending on the findings. For smaller intervention measures, we can even perform the procedure on an outpatient basis. We provide for your care, along with a continuous attending physician and a specialized physician who performs the daily rounds. Additionally, our competent nurse team continuously supports your post-op care.
